Clayton 10k is a popular midweek road race held in Clayton, Newcastle-under-Lyme. It is well-regarded in the local running community as a challenging, undulating course and is a staple of the North Staffs Road Runners Association (NSRRA) league.
The Clayton 10k is known for its undulating profile. It is a two-lap course on public roads with 100% tarmac terrain. The course features roughly 300ft (91m) of total elevation. Highlights include a significant climb up the main road early in each lap, followed by a narrow footpath section near Seabridge Lane, and a rewarding downhill section before the finish.
