Flying Fox 10 Mile
November 1 @ 10:30 am – 12:00 pm
Join us in the scenic Staffordshire village of Standon for the best run of the Autumn: an undulating 10 mile road race through beautiful rolling countryside.
As we sold out last year, we recommend signing up early.
First held in 2003 and named the “Flying Fox” in honour of our club logo, this fun but challenging event is a popular fixture on the North Staffs Road Runners Association programme. Run on picturesque, quiet lanes, the course winds from Standon through the lovely villages of Chapel Chorlton and Maer, with a small hill or two along the way!
The race finishes at the local school in Standon where there are ample refreshments to suit the weather, which at that time of the year can be, ahem, ‘variable’. Plenty of car parking is available at the nearby Standon Mill by kind courtesy of their owners and there are also limited spots on the lanes nearby.
